Samuel Johnson and the English Industrial Revolution

Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) was  a poet, essayist, moralist, literary critic, biographer, editor but is best known for his Dictionary. This paper looks in his writings for evidence of the early stages of the Industrial Revolution in eighteenth century England.
